Pedro Santos

Blaker’s new quartet project calls upon frequent collaborators, Miguel Sampaio (Anti-Medo) on drums and Luis Ribeiro on guitar along with the addition of Pedro Santos’s electric bass to flesh out a more definitive musical direction and identity. The launch of the EP “Integral Parts,” marks a step into work that encompasses more personally resonant themes of internal dialogue that translates into music that prioritizes emotion over technique with firm roots in contemporary jazz and modern music.

Bison’s Big Bang

Bison's Big Bang started in 2012 by Brian Blaker as a graduate thesis project during his time at Philadelphia's University of the Arts. The project continued on into the working band it is today beginning with their first album release, "Pure Imagination," in 2015. Led by Blaker, its various members have collaborated with several national and internationally acclaimed artists such as Vulfpeck, Snarky Puppy, Karl Denson, The Motet, Muscle Tough, Swift Technique, iLL Doots, Killiam Shakespeare and many others. Each performance is its own unique experience as the band places a heavy emphasis on each member's individuality in improvisation, composition and arranging. This culminates in a melting pot of influences drawing from jazz, rock, hip-hop and funk.
